Television actress Dipika Kakar became emotional as her three-year-old son, Ruhaan, saw her in tears before she left for her tumour surgery. Ruhaan innocently asked her why she was crying, to which Dipika explained that she would miss him during her time away for the surgery. Dipika, who has been battling stage 2 liver cancer, recently faced a health setback due to a cyst in her stomach, leading to immediate hospitalization and surgery.
Dipika’s husband, actor Shoaib Ibrahim, shared updates on her health journey, revealing that the surgery went well and Dipika was recovering under medical care. Dipika had previously undergone a surgery where 22% of her liver was removed. Throughout her challenging journey, she has been transparent about her health struggles, sharing her chemotherapy sessions and recovery process on her YouTube channel.
Dipika and Shoaib, who got married in 2018, welcomed their son Ruhaan in 2023. The couple celebrated their 8th wedding anniversary shortly before Dipika’s recent surgery.
