Director Jiyen Krishnakumar shared that his film ‘Ananthan Kaadu’, starring Arya, is set in the late eighties and early nineties in Thiruvananthapuram. The story unfolds during the years 1989, 1990, and 1991, drawing inspiration from characters and incidents from the director’s school days and newspapers.
Krishnakumar mentioned that the narrative spans between Thiruvananthapuram and Tamil Nadu, focusing on a character portrayed by Arya. The movie, releasing in Tamil and Malayalam, features retained Tamil dialogues in the Malayalam version and dubbed Malayalam dialogues in the Tamil version.
Noteworthy cast members include Sunil as Sampath Rao, Indrans as Krishnankutty, Nikhila Vimal as Deepa, Vijayaraghavan as K K Menon, and Santhy Balachandran as Karthi. The multilingual film, produced by Mini Studio’s S Vinod Kumar, is scripted by Murali Gopy, known for works like Lucifer and Empuraan.
