English singer-songwriter Dua Lipa will have to wait until 2027 to move into her new London home following her recent wedding to actor Callum Turner. Dua, 30, purchased the property in 2020 and is planning $3.9 million worth of upgrades, including a basement with a swimming pool, music studio, and cinema. Due to the extensive renovations, the couple will have to wait until July 2027 to settle into their dream home.
Design expert Leigh Ann Raines explained that the construction process, which involves excavating beneath the existing structure, is time-consuming to ensure minimal disturbance to neighbors. The renovation project aims to create a personalized sanctuary for Dua, offering a space for relaxation and creativity. While the couple waits for the renovations to be completed, they are temporarily renting a nearby home.
Dua and Callum recently celebrated their marriage with a three-day wedding event in Italy, attended by around 200 guests, including singer Charli xcx and record producer Mark Ronson. The wedding festivities included a cocktail party at Palermo’s Palazzo Valguarnera Gangi and a ceremony at Villa Valguarnera, where the couple exchanged vows under a gazebo serenaded by Sir Elton John.
