The Enforcement Directorate in Bhopal has provisionally attached 11 properties worth Rs 20.59 crore owned by M/s Jayshri Gayatri Food Products Pvt Ltd and its Managing Director, Kishan Modi, under the PMLA. This action is part of a money laundering investigation related to the production and export of adulterated dairy products. The company, known for its ‘Milk Magic’ brand, is accused of substituting milk fat with palm oil and harmful chemicals in its dairy items.
The firm allegedly submitted fake laboratory reports to obtain export clearances from the Export Inspection Agency in Indore. Investigations later confirmed that these reports were forged and never issued by the laboratories. Jayshri Gayatri Food Products Pvt Ltd exported the adulterated goods using these fake documents and received around Rs 20.59 crore in export proceeds in its bank accounts with Axis Bank and HDFC Bank, which the ED has identified as ‘proceeds of crime’.
The case originated from two FIRs filed against the company’s directors and officials under the IPC. Kishan Modi, the Managing Director, was arrested by the ED and granted custody until March 18, 2026. Subsequently, he was remanded to judicial custody. The ongoing probe has uncovered a scheme involving widespread adulteration, document forgery, and illegal laundering of export earnings, leading to the attachment of 11 properties associated with the company and its MD.
