Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan recently met with Union Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to discuss and resolve the technical and payment-related challenges faced by students during the CBSE post-result and re-evaluation processes. As a result of the meeting, it was decided that major public sector banks like State Bank of India, Bank of Baroda, Canara Bank, and Indian Bank would provide support to CBSE in enhancing its payment gateway infrastructure. This collaboration aims to create a more robust payment system capable of handling high transaction volumes smoothly.
The objective of this partnership is to strengthen the payment mechanism, improve payment processing efficiency, address transaction failures promptly, and facilitate automatic refunds for students who have made excess payments. The Ministry of Education emphasized that these banks will assist CBSE in implementing stronger payment protocols to ensure timely payments and resolve any payment-related issues that may arise. The goal is to enhance the overall payment experience for students accessing CBSE’s post-examination services.
Education Minister Pradhan also instructed CBSE to revamp its payment gateway system comprehensively to prevent future occurrences of the challenges faced by students during the post-result services period. This initiative follows reports from students encountering difficulties in making payments for re-evaluation, mark verification, and other post-examination services. The collaborative effort involving the Ministry of Finance and the public sector banks is expected to significantly improve payment gateway stability, promote seamless digital transactions, and provide a more user-friendly experience for students utilizing CBSE’s post-examination services.
Officials are optimistic that the upgraded infrastructure will enhance reliability, reduce payment-related complaints, and ensure that students can access re-evaluation and related services without encountering technical obstacles.
