Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan praised Panshul Bansal, who secured the second All India Rank (AIR) in the NEET-UG 2026 exam. Bansal, hailing from Haryana, achieved a score of 715 marks, tying with Punjab’s Aryan Gupta but securing the second position based on tie-breaking rules.
During a meeting, Pradhan commended Bansal, stating, “Met Panshul Bansal from Haryana, who has secured AIR 2 in NEET UG 2026. Congratulated him on this outstanding achievement and wished him success in his career.” The Education Minister highlighted Bansal’s dedication, perseverance, and potential contribution to the nation’s healthcare sector.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) recently released the results of the NEET-UG exam, which included a re-examination on June 21 following the cancellation of the initial May 3 test due to paper leak allegations.
Several top-scoring students in the NEET-UG re-exam expressed that the second attempt was more favorable, resulting in a significant improvement in their scores and All India Ranks. This year’s exam saw a massive turnout, with nearly 20 lakh candidates appearing at various centers across India and internationally.
