With the conclusion of Ramadan, Eid-ul-Fitr was joyously celebrated by the Muslim community in Madhya Pradesh. People gathered at Eidgahs and Mosques across the state to offer prayers early in the morning. In Bhopal, the city Qazi’s announcement confirmed the festival, leading to special prayers and celebrations at various locations.
Following the prayers, community members warmly greeted each other, exchanging embraces and Eid wishes. The spirit of togetherness was evident as people engaged in acts of charity and assistance to the less fortunate. Special prayers were also offered for peace, love, and harmony, reflecting the essence of the occasion.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, while on his way to a meeting in Jaipur, extended heartfelt Eid-ul-Fitr greetings through a social media post. Madhya Pradesh Congress president Jitu Patwari visited the Eidgah in Bhopal to convey his wishes to the Muslim community gathered for prayers. He later visited the homes of MLAs Arif Masood and Atif Aqueel to extend his greetings to their families as well.
Patwari emphasized the message of love, brotherhood, and harmony that Eid brings, highlighting the unity and diversity showcased by the Muslim community through their prayers. Political leaders from various parties, including Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla, former CM Kamal Nath, and Rajya Sabha MP Vivek Tankha, also extended their greetings on this auspicious occasion.
