Producer Ektaa Kapoor has revealed the upcoming sequel to her production ‘The Sabarmati Report,’ titled ‘The Terror Report.’ This sequel focuses on India’s battle against cross-border terrorism, incorporating investigative elements and personal narratives. Renowned director Vishnu Varadhan, known for ‘Shershaah,’ will helm this fact-based thriller.
The collaboration between Balaji Telefilms and Ellipsis Entertainment marks a union of creative forces for this project. The film boasts a production team including Ekta Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor, Tanuj Garg, Atul Kasbekar, and Sudhir Chaudhary. ‘The Sabarmati Report’ was inspired by the Sabarmati Express train burning incident in 2002, with Vikrant Massey, Raashii Khanna, and Ridhi Dogra in lead roles under Dheeraj Sarna’s direction.
In the previous film, Vikrant Massey portrayed a journalist advocating for truth in reporting. Notably, ‘The Sabarmati Report’ received backing from political figures like Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, leading to tax exemptions in several states.
