Producer Ektaa Kapoor shared a touching memory from the narration of the 2018 film “Laila Majnu.” She recounted becoming so emotional during director Sajid Ali’s script narration that he had to pause as she was in tears. This marked one of three instances where she was moved during a narration.

Ektaa also mentioned shedding tears during the narration of the first episode of “Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi” and when Vidya Balan’s character passed away in “The Dirty Picture.” Reflecting on the poignant scene from “Laila Majnu,” she described the powerful moment when love transcends physical appearance, emphasizing the soulful connection between the characters.

In her own words, Ektaa detailed the scene where Laila encounters Qais in a different light, realizing the depth of their bond despite external obstacles. “Laila Majnu,” starring Avinash Tiwary and Triptii Dimri, retells the classic tale of Layla and Majnun in a contemporary setting, portraying the challenges faced by the star-crossed lovers.
