Elaborate security arrangements have been implemented at the Tirupparankundram Subramanya Swamy Temple in anticipation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit. The temple and its vicinity are under tight police surveillance with multiple layers of security to ensure a safe visit. Mobile signal jammers have been set up to prevent unauthorized communication during the Prime Minister’s presence.
Authorities are conducting stringent security checks on devotees before allowing entry into the temple. Special security forces have conducted thorough inspections of the temple premises as part of the final preparations. The security measures have been intensified, especially considering past tensions during the Karthigai Deepam festival.
Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to arrive in Chennai on Saturday night after visiting Gujarat and Rajasthan. His itinerary includes laying the foundation stone for development projects worth Rs 2,700 crore in Puducherry and inaugurating infrastructure projects valued at Rs 4,400 crore in Madurai. He will also offer prayers at the Tirupparankundram Subramanya Swamy Temple and inaugurate various projects in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
To enhance broadcasting services in Tamil Nadu, the Prime Minister will launch three new All India Radio FM relay transmitters during his visit. The tour is expected to blend significant development announcements with a religious visit, attracting political and public attention in the region.
