An ongoing encounter is taking place between security forces and terrorists in the hilly Billawar area of J&K’s Kathua district. The operation began in Kahog village after security forces received intelligence about the presence of two to three terrorists in the region. IGP Jammu zone, Bhim Sen Tuti, has confirmed the encounter in the forest of Kamadh Nullah, Kathua.
Reinforcements have been deployed to prevent the terrorists from escaping, as officials work to contain the situation. Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to lead a high-level security review meeting on J&K in New Delhi tomorrow. Discussions will focus on eliminating terrorists in the higher reaches of J&K and preventing infiltration along the Line of Control and International Border.
J&K Police and security forces are actively targeting terrorists, their supporters, and individuals involved in illegal activities. Operations are aimed at dismantling the support network for terrorism in the region. Properties belonging to terrorists and their associates are being seized under court orders, linking them to illicit activities.
