The Enforcement Directorate (ED) recently conducted extensive search operations related to a money laundering case involving Earth Infrastructures Ltd (EIL) and its group entities. These searches, carried out by the ED’s Delhi Zonal Office under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), led to the seizure of significant amounts of cash, jewellery, bullion, and luxury watches. A total of 10 premises in Delhi and Gurugram, associated with the directors, promoters, and entities of the Earth Group, were covered during the operation.
Officials seized cash totaling approximately Rs 6.3 crore, jewellery valued at around Rs 7.5 crore, along with silver bullion and high-end luxury watches during the raids. The investigation originated from five FIRs filed by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Delhi Police against Earth Infrastructures Ltd, its directors, and related entities for offenses including cheating, criminal breach of trust, and conspiracy. Additionally, the Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) lodged a criminal complaint against the company’s promoters and directors under Section 447 of the Companies Act.
The Earth Group launched multiple real estate projects under the “Earth” brand in various locations like Delhi-NCR, Gurugram, Greater Noida, and Lucknow. Notable projects include Earth Towne, Earth Sapphire Court, Earth Copia, Earth Techone, Earth Iconic, Earth Titanium, Earth Elacasa, Earth Gracia, and Earth Skygate. Investigations revealed that the company collected over Rs 2,024.45 crore from more than 19,425 homebuyers and investors with promises of timely delivery and assured returns.
