England’s young cricketer, Jacob Bethell, commended the enthusiastic fan base of IPL team Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Bethell mentioned hearing RCB chants amidst a quiet moment during the T20 World Cup 2026 semifinal against India at the Wankhede Stadium. Despite Bethell’s impressive 105-run innings off 48 balls, England fell short by seven runs in the match.

Bethell expressed mixed feelings about his performance, acknowledging the support and creativity of fans following the game. His teammate, Phil Salt, lauded Bethell’s display on the field, emphasizing his style and character. Bethell is anticipated to play a significant role for RCB in the upcoming IPL 2026 season, starting against Sunrisers Hyderabad on March 28 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
