England’s Linsey Smith has achieved a career-high second position in the latest ICC Women’s T20I Bowling Rankings after an impressive performance in England’s 2-1 series victory against New Zealand women’s ahead of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. Smith, who was named Player of the Series, claimed six wickets in the three matches, with standout figures of 3/25 in the second T20I at Canterbury. This ascent saw her surpass fellow England spinner Sophie Ecclestone, who now holds the third spot in the rankings.
England’s Lauren Bell, a pace bowler, maintains the fourth position despite missing the final T20I after taking three wickets in the first two games. Stand-in captain Charlie Dean solidified her seventh spot with a five-wicket series performance, contributing to England having four bowlers in the top seven of the T20I rankings. Spin bowlers dominate the top 10 rankings, with eight spinners featured, while Bell and Australia’s all-rounder Annabel Sutherland are the only seamers in this group.
In the batting rankings, former New Zealand captain Sophie Devine reentered the top 10 after two years, following her impressive 132-run contribution in the series, including scores of 45 and 87 in the initial matches. Notable movements were limited among the top batters due to the absence of England’s Natalie Sciver-Brunt and Danni Wyatt-Hodge. Australia’s Georgia Voll and Beth Mooney continue to lead the batting rankings, with New Zealand’s Maddy Green climbing eight places to 39th after scoring 93 runs in the series.
West Indies captain Hayley Matthews has reclaimed the top spot in the ICC Women’s T20I All-Rounder Rankings, surpassing Amelia Kerr. Matthews, who previously held the top ranking for a significant period, regained her position after Kerr took over earlier this year.
