Prominent entrepreneur Varun Kumar Singh, son-in-law of former Bihar minister Sanjeev Prasad Tony, has demanded justice and security following the suspicious death of his sister, Khushboo Singh. Varun alleged that his sister was murdered as part of a conspiracy in Muzaffarpur, just six months after her marriage. He expressed concerns for his safety and that of his family members after speaking out.
Varun called for the government to form a Special Investigation Team (SIT), ensure the immediate arrest of all accused individuals, and provide permanent security cover to his family. According to Varun, Khushboo Singh was married on June 1, 2025, to Sudhanshu Singh, an NRI residing in the Brahmpura area of Muzaffarpur. He claimed that his sister faced continuous mental and physical harassment due to dowry demands.
On December 26, 2025, Varun was informed of Khushboo’s death due to burns and asphyxiation. He raised serious concerns over the circumstances of her death, including missing jewelry and questionable forensic procedures. Varun accused the local police of leniency towards the accused and delays in registering the complaint, demanding a thorough investigation and justice for his family.
