Eros Innovation has teamed up with the family of iconic playback singer Mohammed Rafi to introduce Eros Music Worlds, the world’s first Large Cultural Music Platform.
The collaboration with the Rafi family focuses on three key areas—new recordings, a flagship live concert experience, and the Mohammed Rafi Academy. This partnership aims to carry forward the esteemed legacy of the legendary singer using rights-cleared cultural AI.
As part of this venture, seven AI-native artists inspired by popular characters from Eros films have been unveiled, including Jordan from ‘Rockstar’ (portrayed by Ranbir Kapoor) and Tanu from ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ (played by Kangana Ranaut), with their debut singles already released. Additional artists like Munna, Langda Tyagi, and Mudit will be introduced gradually in the coming phases.
Each artist will debut with original singles, followed by albums, Character-led Musical Storytelling Universes, microdrama, and live experiences. These creations will be simultaneously launched on major streaming platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, and JioSaavn.
Shahid Rafi, Mohammed Rafi’s son, expressed appreciation for the initiative, stating, “My father dedicated his life to singing for the people, finding his greatest joy on stage. Reviving his music for a new generation and establishing an academy in his honor to nurture future singers is a thoughtful and prideful endeavor for our family.”
Discussing the collaboration, Shahid Rafi emphasized, “This partnership, founded on respect, consent, and a meaningful tribute to our family, upholds the essence of who he was and the impact he had on others. We are grateful to Eros Innovation for approaching this project with the same dignity that defined my father’s work.”
The main album resulting from this partnership is set to be released on Rafi Sahab’s birth anniversary on July 31 this year.
