The Ethiopian government dismissed Sudan’s claims of drone attacks as unfounded. Sudan had recalled its Ambassador to Ethiopia following allegations of drone strikes at its international airport. Sudan’s Foreign Minister expressed readiness for a potential conflict with Ethiopia over the incident.

Ethiopia refuted Sudan’s allegations and accused Khartoum of violating its territorial integrity. The Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs criticized Sudan for the accusations and highlighted the need for a humanitarian truce in Sudan. The Ethiopian government emphasized the importance of a ceasefire and a transparent civilian-led dialogue for lasting peace in Sudan.

Sudan’s Armed Forces vowed a strong response to the alleged aggression, citing evidence of Ethiopia’s involvement in the attacks. The conflict between Sudanese forces and the Rapid Support Forces has resulted in significant casualties and displacements. Both countries have been urged to prioritize peace and civilian governance to resolve the ongoing crisis.
