He recalled his previous visit to Ethiopia and expressed a commitment to strengthening the Strategic Partnership and fostering friendship between the two nations.
The ruling Prosperity Party secured a significant victory in Ethiopia’s parliamentary elections, as announced by the National Election Board of Ethiopia. With the PP winning the majority of seats in the House of Peoples’ Representatives, they are set to form the government and nominate the Prime Minister.
During PM Modi’s visit to Ethiopia last year, discussions between him and PM Abiy Ahmed Ali covered various areas such as political cooperation, economic engagement, and strategic partnership. The leaders also participated in environmental initiatives by planting saplings and engaging in Ethiopia’s ‘Green Legacy’ program.
