Everton achieved a 2-0 win against Burnley at Hill Dickinson Stadium, marking their second consecutive victory. The team, led by David Moyes, displayed a strong performance with goals from James Tarkowski and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. Tarkowski scored a header from a set piece by James Garner in the first half, while Dewsbury-Hall found the net with a well-executed move in the second half.

Former Burnley player James Tarkowski’s goal and Dewsbury-Hall’s contribution led Everton to a dominant display, securing their first home win since December 6, 2025. The victory significantly boosts Everton’s chances for European qualification, with Idrissa Gueye coming close to scoring a third goal that hit the crossbar. Goalkeeper Jordan Pickford also played a crucial role in maintaining Everton’s clean sheet with a key save towards the end of the match.

Everton’s win places them in the eighth position in the Premier League standings, just two points away from the top six. On the other hand, Burnley remains in the 19th spot, eight points adrift of safety. Everton manager David Moyes praised the performances of players like Dwight McNeil, Ili, Gana, and Dewsbury-Hall, highlighting their improvements in recent games.
