Preparations are underway in Malaysia as Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s two-day official visit from February 7 to 8 approaches. The visit, at the invitation of Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, aims to enhance India–Malaysia ties in various sectors like trade, finance, security, and culture. The ASEAN India Economic Council Chairman highlighted the anticipation among the Malaysian government and people to welcome Prime Minister Modi warmly.
Members of the Indian diaspora in Malaysia expressed their enthusiasm for the visit, emphasizing the significance of strengthening the bilateral relationship between the two countries. Cultural groups are gearing up to welcome PM Modi with grand performances, including classical and fusion dances like Kathak, Bharatanatyam, and ballet. Artists have dedicated weeks to rehearsing special performances for this occasion, showcasing their excitement and anticipation for PM Modi’s presence in Malaysia.
During his visit, PM Modi is scheduled to engage in bilateral discussions with Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, focusing on areas such as trade, finance, and enhancing the strategic partnership between India and Malaysia.
