A three-day exhibition in Bihar’s Rohtas district aimed to raise awareness about the PM Vishwakarma scheme and encourage participation in the welfare initiative. Rohtas District Magistrate Udita Singh inaugurated the exhibition-cum-trade fair at the Sasaram Railway Ground under the PM Vishwakarma Yojana, emphasizing its significance for the industrial sector. The event showcased goods manufactured by scheme beneficiaries, with women from various districts lauding the initiative and urging others to leverage it for entrepreneurial endeavors.
The PM Vishwakarma Yojana has positively impacted the economic well-being of numerous individuals engaged in small businesses, as highlighted by local women sharing their success stories. Ruby Devi, a scheme beneficiary, expressed gratitude for receiving a sewing machine through the program, which has enhanced her income and livelihood. Similarly, Rewa Kumari, a specially abled beneficiary, emphasized the scheme’s role in providing employment opportunities through sewing and embroidery work, encouraging more women to participate for economic empowerment.
Usha Devi, another beneficiary, showcased her talent in making toys, teddy bears, and engaging in sewing and embroidery activities, underscoring the scheme’s benefits for artisans. The PM Vishwakarma scheme, designed to uplift artisans and craftspersons by honing their skills and expanding market access, offers comprehensive support for their trades.
