A series of exit polls has forecast a strong showing for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in several states. In Assam, various polls indicate a significant lead for the BJP over the Congress, with projections ranging from 86 to 101 seats for the BJP. The polls suggest a tough battle in Tamil Nadu, where Chief Minister M.K. Stalin’s party is expected to retain power, while in Kerala, the Left Democratic Front (LDF) faces a challenge from the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF).
In West Bengal, the BJP is predicted to make significant gains, potentially unseating the ruling Trinamool Congress government. Exit polls suggest a strong mandate for the BJP in the state, with projections ranging from 146 to 208 seats. Meanwhile, in Kerala, the UDF is expected to secure victory in 78 to 90 seats, posing a challenge to the incumbent LDF government.
The exit polls also indicate a stable outcome in Tamil Nadu, with most polls suggesting a return to power for Chief Minister M.K. Stalin’s party. However, one pollster has forecast a potential shift in state politics. In Puducherry, all polls point towards the return of the NDA government, led by Chief Minister N. Rangasamy, with projections favoring the AINRC-led alliance over the Congress-led alliance.
