After the Madhya Pradesh government recommended a CBI inquiry into the suspicious death of actress Twisha Sharma, her family expressed gratitude for the decision and emphasized the need for a prompt investigation and a fast-track trial to ensure justice for the deceased and her family. Twisha Sharma’s cousin highlighted the initial delay in taking action but expressed optimism due to recent judicial developments that indicate a fair investigation ahead. The family member welcomed the court’s decision to grant permission for the CBI probe and emphasized the importance of a thorough and timely investigation.
Referring to the arrest of Samarth Singh, Twisha’s husband, a family member alleged that the accused had received support from influential individuals in the past. The relative pointed out that the recent turn of events, including the court’s observation regarding the bail granted to Giribala Singh, indicated a shift in the case. Twisha Sharma’s uncle made serious allegations against the accused family, describing them as a criminal group and criticizing those who supported them as miscreants and mafia elements.
Twisha’s sister urged authorities to expedite the investigation and court proceedings, emphasizing the importance of a swift CBI inquiry and a fast-track trial to ensure a timely resolution. Twisha’s brother-in-law alleged attempts to shield Samarth Singh from legal consequences, citing incidents where supporters prevented access to him inside the court premises. Meanwhile, Additional DCP Anil Sharma defended the police investigation, stating that all necessary procedures had been followed diligently since the inception of the case.
