Choreographer-director Farah Khan playfully teased Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan when he visited her home with his father David Dhawan. The visit coincided with a legal dispute between Varun’s father and producer Vashu Bhagnani over music royalty issues.
Varun, arriving after his father, made up for his lateness by bringing gifts for Farah’s house help and YouTube star Dilip instead of Farah herself. Upon entering, Varun humorously compared Farah’s house to Trump’s, presenting a gift to Dilip. Farah jokingly questioned Varun about being late and hinted at his meeting with Vashu ji.
The ongoing legal battle involves Vashu Bhagnani’s lawsuit against Tips Industries and others regarding the film ‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’, featuring Varun Dhawan. Vashu Bhagnani expressed disappointment over Varun’s lack of communication following their unsuccessful 2020 collaboration on ‘Coolie No. 1’.
The lawsuit stemmed from the unauthorized use of the song ‘Chunari Chunari’ from ‘Biwi No.1’. Vashu Bhagnani claimed that despite Tips owning audio rights, the recreation required his involvement due to film-related intellectual property rights.
