Actor filmmaker Farhan Akhtar marked the 15th anniversary of his iconic road movie “Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara” released on July 15. Sharing stills from the film on social media, Farhan included Hrithik Roshan, Abhay Deol, Katrina Kaif, and Kalki Koechlin in the memories. The movie, directed by Zoya Akhtar and produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani under Excel Entertainment, hit screens on July 15, 2011.
“Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara” featured Hrithik Roshan, Abhay Deol, Farhan Akhtar, Katrina Kaif, Kalki Koechlin, Naseeruddin Shah, and Deepti Naval in key roles. The story revolves around three friends on a bachelor road trip in Spain, praised for its storytelling, visuals, music by Shankar Ehsaan Loy, and Javed Akhtar’s poetry. Farhan Akhtar also announced “Jee Le Zaraa” in 2021, a female-led road trip film with Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Katrina Kaif, and Alia Bhatt. Despite delays, the project remains active.
Farhan Akhtar, known for his directorial debut “Dil Chahta Hai” in 2001, ventured into production with Excel Entertainment. His acting journey began with “Rock On!!” in 2008.
