A tragic road accident in Sasaram, Bihar, has resulted in the deaths of five individuals, transforming a celebratory occasion into a moment of sorrow. The victims, who were returning from a Tilak ceremony, were struck by a speeding and uncontrollable truck early Monday morning in the Dinara police station area of Rohtas district.
The incident occurred near Mathiya village on National Highway 319 when the victims had disembarked from a bus and stopped on the highway, with a pickup vehicle parked behind them. At approximately 3:00 a.m., the truck collided with the group, causing chaos at the site. Among the deceased are Ramadutt Singh, Ashok Singh, Pintu Singh, and Rajnish Kumar, all believed to be from the same family.
The bodies of the victims have been transferred to Sasaram Sadar Hospital for post-mortem examinations, while authorities have seized the truck, bus, and pickup involved in the accident.
