A father and son tragically lost their lives in a road accident in Madhya Pradesh’s Chhatarpur district. The incident occurred late on Sunday night when a Bolero vehicle collided with their motorcycle near Hama Tiraha around 12:30 A.M. The victims, identified as Kripal Sen and his son Kunti Sen, were returning home after attending an event.
Police sources revealed that the duo sustained severe injuries in the collision with the unidentified Bolero vehicle. Despite being hurt, Kripal Sen managed to inform his family about the accident. Relatives promptly arrived at the scene and transported the injured pair to the district hospital for medical assistance.
Following initial treatment at the district hospital, the father and son were referred to a private hospital due to the critical nature of their injuries. Tragically, both individuals succumbed to their wounds while en route for further medical care. The incident led to an outpouring of grief at the district hospital, with villagers and family members gathering to mourn the loss.
The family expressed frustration over the delay in locating the vehicle and its driver by the authorities. Police have launched an investigation into the matter and sent the bodies for post-mortem examination. Efforts are ongoing to identify the Bolero vehicle and its driver as part of the ongoing inquiry.
In a separate incident earlier in the week, a tragic road accident on the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway in Madhya Pradesh’s Mandsaur district claimed four lives and left two others critically injured. The collision involved a speeding car from Maharashtra colliding with a truck, resulting in significant damage and multiple fatalities.
