After the tragic death of Ketan Agarwal at Lohagad Fort near Pune, his father, Vishal Agarwal, expressed his confidence in the legal system, emphasizing the need for justice to prevail. The incident, initially believed to be accidental, has now been revealed as an alleged murder involving Ketan’s fiancée, Siya Goyal, and her suspected lover, Chetan Chaudhary.
Vishal Agarwal, in a statement to the media, stressed the importance of holding all involved parties accountable for their actions. He urged for swift and severe punishment for Siya Goyal, Chetan Chaudhary, and any others implicated in the case to bring closure and peace for his son’s soul. The family, previously unaware of certain details about Siya Goyal, expressed shock at the revelations surrounding her background and behavior.
The father of the deceased also disclosed that crucial information about Siya Goyal had been concealed from them, including aspects of her education, lifestyle, and habits. He highlighted the role played by Siya’s aunt in misrepresenting her character and concealing pertinent details from the family. Vishal Agarwal lamented that the tragic events could have been averted had Siya been transparent about her prior relationship before agreeing to marry Ketan.
In contrast, a relative of the accused, Chetan Chaudhary, maintained his innocence and denied any involvement in the alleged crime. Udaram Chaudhary, speaking on behalf of the family, asserted that Chetan was not connected to the incident and should be considered blameless. He expressed unfamiliarity with Siya Goyal, mentioning that her identity was only revealed through media reports.
Sunil Gaikwad, a member of the recovery team involved in retrieving Ketan Agarwal’s remains, recounted the challenging operation following the tragic event. He described the condition of the body, emphasizing the severe injuries sustained during the fall from a considerable height. Despite the emotional turmoil faced by the family, the rescue team ensured a professional approach in handling the situation and refrained from exposing the body to the grieving relatives.
Reflecting on the accused, Siya Goyal, Gaikwad noted her presence at the scene but highlighted her lack of visible emotion during the recovery process. He indicated that while Siya was present, her demeanor appeared detached and unemotional, as observed by the team members involved in the operation.
