Ketan Agarwal’s father, Vishal Agarwal, stated that his son’s fiancee, Siya Goyal, and her family were aware of his use of a hair patch and emphasized that this should not justify his murder. Ketan Agarwal was reportedly killed at Lohagad Fort near Pune, allegedly by Siya Goyal and her supposed lover, Chetan Chaudhary. Vishal Agarwal mentioned that Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has promised a swift resolution to the case.
Expressing confidence in the legal system, Vishal Agarwal shared that CM Fadnavis assured him of personal attention to expedite the case and ensure the perpetrators face justice promptly. He also advocated for the death penalty for the accused individuals. Responding to queries about a Special Investigation Team (SIT) leading the case, he confirmed the formation of an SIT for the investigation.
Regarding reports of Ketan’s hair patch use, Vishal Agarwal clarified that Siya and her family were already informed about it, questioning whether this could justify taking someone’s life. He mentioned that the circumstances around the trekking plan would be clarified post the investigation’s completion. Additionally, he expressed unawareness of Siya’s drinking habits and her relationship with Chetan Chaudhary.
The parents of the main suspect, Siya, conveyed shock over the incident, extended condolences to Ketan’s family, and emphasized the need for strict punishment for anyone found guilty, including their daughter. Siya’s father, Praveen Goyal, expressed sorrow over the tragic loss and acknowledged the profound impact on Ketan’s family. Similarly, her mother, Pooja Goyal, called for justice regardless of the responsible party, expressing deep shock over the events and advocating for stringent punishment for the guilty.
