Felix Auger-Aliassime secured a place in the fourth round at Roland-Garros by defeating American Brandon Nakashima in a thrilling match. Auger-Aliassime, despite being down at crucial moments, managed to turn the tide and claim victory after 3 hours and 48 minutes.
This marks Auger-Aliassime’s third appearance in the fourth round at Roland-Garros, with his previous efforts in 2022 and 2024. However, this time he enters the last 16 as the higher-ranked player, currently standing at world No.6. He is set to face unseeded Chilean Alejandro Tabilo in the next round.
Meanwhile, Juan Manuel Cerundolo continued his impressive run at Roland Garros after a grueling battle against Spaniard Martin Landaluce. Cerundolo, who previously defeated World No. 1 Jannik Sinner, clinched a hard-fought victory in a five-hour, 57-minute match against Landaluce.
Cerundolo’s next challenge in the fourth round will be against Matteo Berrettini, who also emerged victorious in a five-set match against Francisco Comesana. Berrettini, a former Top-10 player, is aiming to replicate his 2021 quarter-final finish at Roland Garros and is among the few Grand Slam finalists left in the singles draw.
