A female teacher was fatally shot outside Allahabad Girls High School in Sibi, Balochistan, Pakistan. The assailants, riding a motorbike, opened fire at close range, causing her death. The teacher, a member of a prominent tribal family in Sibi, succumbed to her injuries at a local hospital.
The victim, who was married to Malik Faheem Bangulzai, had close ties to tribal leader Sardar Noor Ahmed Bangulzai. This incident occurred amidst a concerning trend of enforced disappearances of Baloch women in Balochistan. In a separate incident, Fatima, wife of Noroz Islam, was reportedly detained by Pakistani security forces from her residence in Panjgur.
According to reports, at least 12 women, including minors and pregnant women, were forcibly disappeared by Pakistani security forces and intelligence agencies in 2025. The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) highlighted the case of Hani Baloch, an eight-month pregnant woman, and her family who were disappeared in Balochistan.
The BYC emphasized that enforced disappearances, including of women and pregnant women, are a serious violation of human rights. The report called for immediate action to locate and release the missing individuals and hold the Pakistani authorities accountable for these actions. The global community was urged to address the issue of enforced disappearances, particularly concerning women and pregnant women.
