Film Producer Amit Jani has filed a police report in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, stating that he is facing fresh death threats related to his upcoming film “Kala Hiran” (Blackbuck). Jani alleges that a person named Shahzad Bhatti from Pakistan has been pressuring him to abandon the project through phone calls and messages. These threats, including mentions of bomb attacks and beheading, have been ongoing for two years, involving his previous film “Udaipur Files” as well.
Concerns over his safety have prompted Jani to seek help from various authorities. He has reached out to multiple agencies, including the Union Ministry of Home Affairs, Rajasthan Director General of Police Rajeev Kumar Sharma, and Jodhpur Police Commissioner Sharat Kaviraj, requesting additional security measures during his time in Rajasthan. Jani also highlighted that his security has been a longstanding issue, with previous alerts about suspicious activities around his home and office.
Despite the mounting pressure to halt his projects, Jani remains steadfast in his commitment to his work. He emphasized that he will not be deterred by threats and expressed confidence that his team would carry on with the projects even in his absence. The filmmaker raised concerns about his movements being monitored and shared with certain individuals, further underscoring the need for enhanced security measures.
Authorities are currently investigating Jani’s complaint, with security agencies expected to evaluate the seriousness of the threats and determine if additional protection is necessary.
