Filmmaker Mudassar Aziz has lauded Ayushmann Khurrana, the lead actor in his upcoming movie, as the nation’s beloved ‘good man in a situation.’ Aziz’s new film, a multi-starrer, also features Wamiqa Gabbi, Sara Ali Khan, and Rakul Preet Singh.
Aziz expressed, “I believe Ayushmann Khurrana is the nation’s favourite ‘good man in a situation.’ His brilliance has been evident in his work over the past decade in this genre.” The director is excited to present Ayushmann Khurrana to the audience, who this time serves as the solution to his own predicament.
Discussing the movie’s evolution, Aziz hinted at a fresh approach while maintaining the core comedic essence of “Pati Patni Aur Woh Do.” He emphasized the challenge of managing multiple character arcs in situational comedy, highlighting the importance of a compelling screenplay.
The storyline of “Pati Patni Aur Woh Do” unfolds in Prayagraj, where an idyllic wedding takes an unexpected turn, leading to a series of misunderstandings, suspicions, and comedic chaos. The film, produced by Bhushan Kumar, Renu Ravi Chopra, and Krishan Kumar, and creatively produced by Juno Chopra, is set to release on May 15.
