After generating excitement in global festivals, Ritwik Pareek’s comedy mystery “Dug Dug” is set to debut in India on May 8. The film, supported by Anurag Kashyap, Nikkhil Advani, Vikramaditya Motwane, and Vasan Bala, explores a village’s belief in a magical motorbike that fulfills wishes when worshipped with alcohol. Anurag Kashyap praised the film’s storytelling, cinematography, and music, expressing anticipation for its theatrical release.
Vikramaditya Motwane lauded “Dug Dug” as a genuine Indian narrative that humorously challenges societal beliefs. Ritwik Pareek, the film’s writer, expressed gratitude for the support from industry veterans like Kashyap and Motwane. Having premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2021, “Dug Dug” has been showcased at various prestigious events worldwide, including the Santa Barbara International Film Festival and the MAMI Mumbai Film Festival. The film’s release in India marks a significant milestone for Pareek and the team behind this unique cinematic creation.
