In Bengaluru, a tragic incident unfolded as 22-year-old law student Amrutha was fatally stabbed, succumbing to her injuries on July 15. The motive behind her killing has taken a new turn, revealing a mix of a financial dispute and a failed relationship. The attack, carried out by Surya near Amrutha’s residence, stemmed from personal differences and a chit fund-related monetary issue.

Investigations into the case have shed light on the complexities surrounding the crime. Apart from the emotional aspect, a financial dispute linked to a chit fund operation seems to have fueled the violent act. Surya’s alleged frustration over an unpaid sum of around Rs 5 lakh, coupled with Amrutha’s rejection of his advances and her distancing from Dhanush, contributed to the tragic outcome.

The relationship dynamics between Amrutha, Dhanush, and Surya have added layers to the investigation. Initially connected through family acquaintances, Amrutha and Dhanush’s romance turned sour upon revelations about Dhanush’s undisclosed past marriage and child. Despite the breakup, Dhanush persisted in pursuing Amrutha, leading to the fatal confrontation at her residence.

The fatal incident, occurring after a demand for repayment turned violent, resulted in Amrutha’s untimely demise. Surya, the assailant, was promptly apprehended by locals and arrested by the authorities. The police have taken swift action, registering a murder case against both Surya and Dhanush, with further inquiries ongoing.
