A fire erupted at an electrical warehouse in Gali No. 7 of Bihari Colony in Delhi’s Shahdara district, leading to a quick intervention by the Delhi Fire Services (DFS). Six fire tenders were dispatched to the scene upon receiving the alert. Firefighters arrived and initiated firefighting operations to prevent the flames from spreading to nearby buildings. The warehouse, which stored electrical items, was found locked when the fire personnel reached the site.
The DFS officer, Anoop Singh, mentioned that the gate was locked when they arrived, emphasizing that the warehouse contained electrical items and fortunately, no casualties were reported. After concerted efforts by the firefighting teams, the fire was successfully brought under control. Officials confirmed that there were no injuries or fatalities resulting from the incident. The exact cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Following two separate fire incidents in different areas of Delhi the previous day, the recent blaze at the electrical warehouse adds to the series of fire-related events in the capital. One of the previous fires occurred at a savoury manufacturing factory near Dwarka Metro Station, while the other affected a wooden furniture shop in Mangolpuri during the early hours. The fire at the savoury factory, located in a tin-shed structure spanning about 300 square yards, was swiftly contained without any casualties.
In the second incident, a significant fire outbreak damaged a furniture shop in S Block, Mangolpuri, with firefighters managing to control the flames after hours of operation. A local resident described the fire as sudden, occurring at night in the furniture shop. While all three fires were successfully contained without any reported injuries, they underscore the critical importance of fire safety protocols in commercial premises and storage facilities throughout Delhi.
