The fire emergency persists in the France-Spain border region, with a massive blaze in the Trevillach area reigniting, destroying around 1,500 hectares of vegetation. Over 700 firefighters are actively working to contain the fires, with numerous evacuations in progress.

In Catalonia, a significant fire on the Costa Brava, which ravaged over 2,200 hectares, has been contained. However, authorities caution that the risk remains high due to the ongoing heatwave, posing continued challenges for firefighting efforts.

In the Eastern Pyrenees, the fire near Mount Canigou has intensified, stretching over an 18-kilometer front, necessitating substantial ground and air resources for containment. With challenging conditions exacerbated by wind and heat, the firefighting operations are facing escalating difficulties.

Firefighters in Spain have managed to stabilize the fire near the Costa Brava resort, but concerns persist due to the prevailing heatwave conditions. The affected area, predominantly within the protected natural area of Gavarres, has witnessed significant destruction, prompting vigilance to prevent potential re-ignitions.

Efforts to combat the wildfires are ongoing, with firefighters bracing for a tough day ahead amidst high temperatures and smoke columns. The situation remains precarious, with detailed monitoring crucial to prevent any potential flare-ups and ensure the safety of the affected regions.
