The first poster of the upcoming film ‘Valmiki Ramayana’ was revealed, capturing the essence of devotion and reverence for one of India’s sacred epics. Directed by Bhavna Talwar, the movie aims to offer a cinematic experience rooted in faith and simplicity, faithful to the original text.

A team of accomplished creatives, including renowned production designer Sabu Cyril and celebrated author Anand Neelakantan, is dedicated to presenting the epic with authenticity and emotional depth. The film also features veteran cinematographer Binod Pradhan and Academy Award-winning sound designer Resul Pookutty, ensuring a visually and aurally captivating experience.

Approaching the project with respect and restraint, the filmmakers focus on the spiritual and emotional core of Valmiki Ramayana, aiming to create a heartfelt cinematic journey that resonates with audiences of all ages. The movie is scheduled to hit theaters on October 2, offering a unique interpretation of the timeless epic.

The Valmiki Ramayana, an ancient Sanskrit epic dating back to 500–100 BCE, narrates the tale of Lord Ram, his exile, the abduction of his wife Sita by Ravana, and her eventual rescue with the help of allies like Hanuman. Addressing themes of kingship, duty, and ethical conduct, the text serves as a foundational piece of Indian literature, influencing subsequent retellings across different cultures and regions.
