Five minor boys have been detained for fatally stabbing a 34-year-old man in northwest Delhi’s Ashok Vihar after he accidentally splashed mud on them. The victim, identified as Bansi Lal, was found unconscious with multiple stab wounds near Prem Bari Pul. He was rushed to Deep Chand Bandhu Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
The incident occurred when Bansi Lal, who worked at a CCTV shop, was walking through a muddy patch for nature’s call. A confrontation ensued with the group of boys, leading to a violent altercation where one of the juveniles stabbed him repeatedly. The police used CCTV footage and local intelligence to identify and detain the minors involved in the crime.
In a similar recent incident, two juveniles were detained for fatally stabbing a 17-year-old boy in Seelampur. The victim, Lucky Kumar, was attacked following an altercation, and the two accused were apprehended swiftly. Meanwhile, in another case, a 20-year-old man named Toheed was stabbed to death in a park in New Usmanpur, leading to the arrest of three men within 18 hours of the incident.
