Five bodies of Baloch men, allegedly disappeared months earlier, were discovered in Gwadar, Balochistan. Pakistani military officials claimed they were armed men killed in an operation following an attack by the Baloch Liberation Army’s Majeed Brigade. However, families and rights groups disputed this, citing documented disappearances and protests before the operation.
The deceased individuals were identified as Abdul Haq, Peeri Assa, Shah Bakhsh, and Haider Ali Mohammad, with the fifth person’s identity unknown. Various organizations, including the Baloch Yakjehti Committee and the Voice for Baloch Missing Persons, condemned the recovery of the bodies, expressing concerns over enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings in Balochistan.
The Baloch National Movement’s Human Rights Department strongly criticized the recovery of the bodies, particularly highlighting the extrajudicial killing of Abdul Haq Baloch. The Baloch Voice for Justice condemned the incident, stating it reflects a systematic pattern of enforced disappearances followed by the discovery of mutilated bodies, contributing to the ongoing campaign of Baloch genocide.
