In a crackdown on drug networks in Mumbai, the Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) conducted a raid in Khar, leading to the arrest of a foreign national. Cocaine and MDMA tablets valued at Rs 2.21 crore were seized during the operation. The Mumbai Police are intensifying efforts against drug suppliers and individuals associated with these networks.

The accused, identified as Ije Ezekiel Njoku, a Nigerian national residing in Nalasopara, was apprehended in Khar under suspicious circumstances. He confessed during interrogation that he was carrying cocaine and MDMA tablets for sale. The seized drugs are suspected to be targeted at high-profile parties and youth in the city.

Following the recent drug-related deaths at a live concert in Mumbai, the police are on high alert. The recovered drugs, including cocaine and MDMA tablets, were intended for distribution within the city’s party circuit. The authorities are now investigating further to identify other individuals involved in the drug network.
