On the occasion of the Ram Navami festival in Ayodhya, former Babri Masjid litigant Iqbal Ansari gave Lord Ram Lalla’s picture as gifts to security staff and devotees. Ram Navami celebrates the birth of Lord Ram, the seventh avatar of Vishnu, during the nine-day Chaitra Navratri, emphasizing values like truth and compassion. Ansari expressed his joy in sharing the picture, considering it a form of devotion to God and a reflection of Ayodhya’s faith.

Highlighting the significance of Ayodhya as a religious city, Ansari described it as the abode of Lord Ram and various deities, unique in its divine essence. He also mentioned the ‘Surya Tilak’ ritual at the Ram Temple on Ram Navami, where sunrays touching the deity’s forehead symbolically enhanced the temple’s spiritual ambiance. This ritual, initiated in 2024, has become a cherished tradition for devotees visiting Ayodhya.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the ‘Surya Tilak’ ceremony virtually, offering prayers to Lord Ram for the nation’s well-being on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami.
