Former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Hooda criticized the state Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government, claiming they are treating jobs like commodities in a store. He highlighted a leaked call involving the BJP President in Kurukshetra, suggesting that the government is involved in selling positions, including contractual jobs and permanent recruitment roles under the ‘Kaushal Nigam’ (skill corporation). Hooda expressed disappointment in the government’s focus on job sales, citing issues such as the NEET exam re-conduct and alleged irregularities in recruitment processes of Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) and Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC).
Hooda also criticized the government for its handling of recent incidents, such as the lack of compensation for shopkeepers affected by arson in Rohtak. He mentioned a loss of faith in law and order in the state, pointing out various incidents like attacks on political figures and professionals. Referring to reports, Hooda highlighted Haryana’s low rankings in safety, police performance, and happiness indices, emphasizing the need for improvement across these areas.
