Former physiotherapist of the Indian men’s team, Patrick Farhart, has taken up the role of Global Head of Science and Medicine with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), as confirmed by a franchise official. Farhart will also extend his expertise to the Durban Super Giants in SA20 and the Manchester Originals of The Hundred. With over 20 years of experience, Farhart has previously worked with teams like Sydney Sixers, Kings XI Punjab, and Mumbai Indians in the IPL.
Farhart’s new responsibilities include overseeing athlete performance, health, injury prevention, and rehabilitation for RPSG Sport teams, encompassing Lucknow Super Giants (IPL), Manchester Originals (The Hundred), Durban Super Giants (SA20), and Mohun Bagan SG (ISL). He expressed his excitement for the role on his LinkedIn account, emphasizing the focus on maintaining top-notch standards in sports medicine and science.
Having served as the lead physio for Delhi Capitals, Farhart’s association with the Indian team lasted from 2015 until the 2019 ICC World Cup. His extensive background also includes roles as Performance Director for various teams in Australia, showcasing his wealth of experience in the field of sports medicine and science.
