The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) apprehended former judge Giribala Singh in Bhopal and took her to the Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT) campus for a medical examination following her arrest in relation to her daughter-in-law’s alleged dowry death. A medical camp was set up at the campus with approval from the Madhya Pradesh Police for the examination.

Giribala Singh’s arrest occurred after the Madhya Pradesh High Court revoked her anticipatory bail in the case. Prior to the medical examination, the CBI interrogated her for about seven hours at her residence in Bhopal. Subsequently, she was transported to the MANIT campus for the examination, with an ambulance spotted during the process.

The CBI is scheduled to present Giribala Singh in court on Friday. This development unfolded subsequent to the High Court annulling her interim bail, which was granted by a Bhopal district court, in connection with her daughter-in-law Twisha Sharma’s demise.
