Former Karnataka Chief Minister and MP Basavaraj Bommai stated that the LPG shortage issue in the country would be resolved shortly, with most problems expected to be addressed within a week. Bommai emphasized the need for increased domestic production and improved logistics to tackle the issue effectively. He commended the Central government’s efforts in this regard and highlighted positive outcomes from Iran allowing three ships from India, which helped stabilize petrol and diesel prices.

Bommai criticized the opposition for politicizing every issue, noting that they tend to link even minor incidents to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He urged the opposition to focus on global concerns and compared the situation in India favorably to that of other nations. Despite challenges, Bommai accused the opposition of prioritizing politics over contributing to the country’s development.

Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka, D.K. Shivakumar, called for discussions in Parliament regarding the reported shortage of LPG cylinders and the rising fuel prices. He criticized the Union government for avoiding debates on critical matters affecting the public and businesses. Shivakumar highlighted the impact on the hotel and commercial industry, stressing the government’s responsibility to ensure the availability of essential fuels for households. He urged for open parliamentary debates on these pressing issues for effective resolution.
