Former MP Anand Mohan criticized the Janata Dal (United), stating that the party has deviated from its core ideology and is now driven by wealth and power. He specifically targeted former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, highlighting the sacrifices made by his own family for Kumar. Anand Mohan mentioned resigning from the Cabinet at Kumar’s behest but claimed that despite his loyalty, he has been sidelined.
Anand Mohan also noted the diminishing presence of Nitish Kumar within the party, stating that the Chief Minister has been politically marginalized. He questioned the party’s leadership and visibility, pointing out the absence of key leaders like Vijay Kumar Chaudhary and Bijendra Prasad Yadav from current banners in Bihar. Anand Mohan raised concerns about the treatment of supportive leaders and the lack of their representation in party promotions.
Regarding the absence of his son Chetan Anand from the Cabinet, Anand Mohan criticized what he termed as “money-bag politics” prevailing in the JD(U). He accused the party of favoring individuals with financial resources over merit. Anand Mohan further criticized internal party decisions and the treatment of loyalists, emphasizing that such practices are detrimental not only to the JD(U) but also to the broader NDA alliance.
Anand Mohan strongly criticized Nitish Kumar’s close aides, labeling them as a ‘Chandal Chaukadi (a notorious quartet)’ and accusing them of sabotaging the party internally. He cited the recent MLC elections in the Bhojpur–Buxar region as evidence of the electorate’s rejection of such politics.
