Former Norwegian Minister of Climate and Environment, Erik Solheim, commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his exceptional popularity, surpassing global leaders like US President Donald Trump. Solheim highlighted Modi’s unwavering support from the public, a rare feat for a democratic leader. He emphasized that Modi’s enduring popularity is unprecedented in modern times, attributing it to the Prime Minister’s dedication and vision for national progress.
Solheim’s remarks coincide with a recent survey by a US-based data analytics firm, Morning Consult, ranking PM Modi as the most popular global leader. The survey, conducted in early March, revealed Modi’s remarkable 68% approval rating, placing him ahead of his international counterparts. Solheim echoed these findings, stating that Modi’s popularity in India surpasses that of any other leader globally, including President Trump and European heads of state.
Highlighting Modi’s humble beginnings in Gujarat, where his family sold tea at a railway station, Solheim underscored the Prime Minister’s inspiring journey to becoming a prominent global figure. He described Modi as a true world leader, emphasizing his rise from modest origins to influential leadership on the global stage.
