Former Punjab DGPs commemorated the first anniversary of ‘Operation Sindoor’, lauding it as a successful and decisive response to terrorism by India. The operation, triggered by the Pahalgam incident, involved deep strikes by the Indian Air Force within Pakistan’s territory. S.S. Virk, a former Punjab DGP, highlighted the significant damage inflicted on groups involved in such activities during the operation.
Marking the operation’s anniversary, Virk emphasized the importance of learning from history to prevent future tragedies. He urged sustained vigilance and public awareness to deter Pakistan from engaging in similar acts. Another former Punjab DGP, Sanjiv Kalra, praised the operation, emphasizing the need for public participation in modern warfare.
Kalra commended the level of preparedness displayed during ‘Operation Sindoor’ and stressed the evolving nature of security threats due to advancing technology. He underscored the vital role of public awareness in contemporary warfare, citing the use of drones and air technology during the operation.
