Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has strongly criticized the state government and public healthcare system for negligence leading to maternal deaths in Kota and medical complications in Bikaner.
Gehlot expressed concern over the inquiry report on Kota’s maternal deaths, attributing negligence in treatment as the direct cause. He highlighted a systemic failure in Rajasthan’s health administration.
He emphasized that these incidents reflect the deteriorating condition of government healthcare institutions in the state. Gehlot accused the government of failing to ensure basic standards of patient safety and medical supervision.
The former CM demanded immediate accountability, strict action against responsible officials, and comprehensive support for affected women and their families. He called for a comprehensive review of infection-control protocols and healthcare services to prevent such tragedies in the future.
